I was watching the Liverpool match on the box last night and with the excitement of it all I went flicking, and over on RTE ONE was none other than former Liverpool Legend John Aldridge singing on Charity You’re A Star, and my god how he can’t sing, he’s terrible I tell ya!

Not only that but he’s favourite to win, now this isn’t a reflection on the other contestants either, it’s just reality TV for ya. I most admit I’ve not watch much of this show but what I have seen of the other remaining three is that they are better than Aldo, although (no pun intended) I don’t think I’ve heard Aine Ni Dhroighneain sing in fact I don’t think I’ve ever heard of Aine Ni Dhroighneain.

The remaining contestants are Kathryn Thomas, RTE presenter of Travel show No frontiers singing for Special Olympics Ireland and TG4 weather man Daithi O’Se for The Make A Wish Foundation.

For the record John Aldridge is singing for Temple St. Children’s Hospital and Aine Ni Dhroighneain for Cancer Care West.

Aldridge is favourite with Paddy Power at 2-1 with Daithi O’Se 9 - 4, Aine Ni Dhroighneain 11 - 4 and Kathryn Thomas 3 - 1.

The semi final takes place on Saturday night with the final Sunday, I can hardly wait!
